Provider legal document

Product-at-location-only Policy

Beta policy confirming that provider products are scoped to a specific location and are not automatically available, shipped, or fulfilled elsewhere.

Version 2026.06.08-betaEffective date 2026-06-08

1. Products belong to a specific provider location

Products in FoundBookings are location-scoped. A product listed for one provider location is not automatically available at another location, another company, or through a different fulfilment channel.

Providers must not represent a product as available at a location where it is not configured, stocked, or able to be fulfilled.

2. Provider responsibility for stock, price, fulfilment, taxes, and safety

Providers are responsible for product names, descriptions, images, prices, stock, tax treatment, safety, suitability, legal compliance, customer disclosures, refunds, restocking, and handover or use at the relevant location.

FoundBookings does not currently provide a shipping or remote fulfilment marketplace. Products should not be described as shipped, delivered, or remotely fulfilled unless a future feature expressly implements and discloses that model.

3. Web checkout context, mobile checkout limits, and inventory

Provider web checkout product choices should use the selected booking location's product context. Product selection, stock handling, inventory restoration, and checkout records must stay within the relevant location/company boundaries.

Mobile checkout currently supports appointment services only. Retail products or items bought at the location are not included in mobile service bookings or mobile payments unless a future checkout summary expressly supports them.

Inventory and stock counts may be limited by provider configuration, checkout state, refunds, adjustments, or operational errors. Providers remain responsible for correcting stock and customer disclosures where needed.

4. Refunds, restocking, restrictions, and customer disclosure

Product refunds, restocking, substitutions, defects, and customer issues are subject to provider policy and applicable law. Providers must not use product settings to bypass customer rights or cross-location restrictions.

Customer-facing product disclosures should make clear which provider location is responsible for the product and whether the product is collected, used during a service, handed over in person, or otherwise fulfilled at that location.
